The XM-2X module and XM-2XR module have two unpopulated XENPAK-based 10 Gigabit Ethernet
ports.
The default configuration of the XM-2X and XM-2XR I/O modules is as follows. All ports:
● Are added to the default VLAN as untagged.
● Inherit the properties of the default VLAN (for example, protocol type and VLANid).

Distinguishing a BlackDiamond 12800 Series MSM
from an I/O Module
A quick way to distinguish a BlackDiamond 12800 series MSM from a BlackDiamond 12800 series I/O
module is by the color of the release latch on each injector/ejector handle. Orange injector/ejector
release latches indicate that the module is a BlackDiamond 12800 series MSM, and green injector/ejector
release latches indicate that the module is a BlackDiamond 12800 series I/O module (see Figure 37).
