Chapter 9 Maintenance Check Daily and Periodic Check
Daily Check Items and Procedures
Perform the daily check.
If the equipment fails any check item on the daily check list, the general judgment will be "Fail". Repair the
equipment so that it passes all the check items.
Use the equipment only if the judgments for all the items are "OK".

Visually check the exterior for scratches,
cracks, and rust.

2. Installation
01 Installation Check whether the equipment is installed on a
level surface.
The installation area must be level and free from
vibration and shock.
02 Installation Check whether the equipment is installed in a
place susceptible to adverse environment.
The temperature and humidity of the installation
area must be as specified. The equipment should
not be subjected to splashing water or chemicals.

3. Operation
01 Function Turn ON the power of the main unit, and check
whether it operates normally.
The home display should appear, and the power
LED located at the lower left of the display unit
should light.
The date and time should be correct.
02 Function Turn ON the power of the main unit, and check
whether it operates normally.
The power supply LED of the main unit should light.
03 Function (When IB-8004 is used) The set LAN ID indicator should light.
04 Function (When HS-8000/HSA-80 is used) The home display should appear, and the power
LED of the HS-8000 should light.
05 Function (When HS-8000 is used) With the BP relay cable and BP transducer
connected, pressing the BP zero balance switch
should start the zero balance.
Pressing the NIBP Start/Stop key should inflate the
NIBP cuff.
Connecting the SpO
2
sensor should light the
sensor LED.
06 Function (When HR-800 is used) The [□READY] indicator on the HR-800 should
light in green.
Pressing the [RECORD] key on the HR-800 should
start the waveform printing. When pressed again,
the printing should stop.
Pressing the [FEED] key on the HR-800 while not
printing should feed the paper.
07 Function (When HPD-800/HPD-810/HCP-800/HCP-
810/HBX-800 is used)
The home display should appear, and power
supply LED should light in green.
08 Function (When HCP-800/HCP-810 is used) When the sampling tube is connected, "0" should
be displayed in the numeric data box.
09 Function (When MGU-800 is used) The home display should appear, and the power
LED located at the upper left of the MGU-800
should light.
