5.18 Configuring HART Configuration tab - Channel block
Configuring modules - HART Configuration tab
The following configuration information pertains to the HART Configuration tab for all
Series 8 I/O Analog Input and Analog Output modules.
The parameter HALARMENABLE is added to HART configuration tab in the channel
block and:
 is enabled by default
 in addition, can be changed from monitoring side, irrespective of the channel point
execution state of the IOM module state.
ATTENTION
When HALARMENABLE is disabled
 all the existing HART events / alarms from that channel block are
disabled
 and further generation of the HART alarms / events are terminated
Note: This parameter affects only the HART alarm / event behavior. The LED
device status in the HART device status tab is not impacted by the state of
HALARMENABLE.
Prerequisites
 Control Builder is running
 A Series 8 I/O control module was created
