Description
LowLatency
New value:
Sequence of Events
Low Latency Mode
When the DIMODE parameter in Digital Input 24V and DIGITAL INPUT SEQUENCE
OF EVENTS IOM Function Block is set to LowLatency, the channel’s inputs are
sampled and processed every 5 msec for better response times when using Discrete
Loops that require low latency responses. In the case of DIGITAL INPUT SEQUENCE
OF EVENTS, Sequence of Events event generation is not supported when DIMODE is
LowLatency.
7.11 Enabling point type selection in Digital Input Pulse
Accumulation channel
The point types are enabled on the Digital Input Pulse Accumulation channel block so
that Digital Input or Digital Input Pulse Accumulation point types for each channel can
be selected. However, point type selection is possible only for channels 1 to 16. By
default, for channels 17-32 the point type is Digital Input.
The Digital Input and Digital Input Pulse Accumulation functions are common for all 32
channels. All parameters in Digital Input and Digital Input Pulse Accumulation
functions have “ViewOnly” attribute, so these parameters get enabled after the load
based on the point type selection. For example, if the point type selected is Digital Input
Pulse Accumulation then the parameters Pulse Raw Count and Reset Raw Count are
enabled after successful channel load.
