Defining module containment
An individual channel within a Series 8 I/O block is often abbreviated as an IOC block.
While an IOC block must be "contained in" a Control Module (CM) in Control Builder,
the IOC block actually resides within the associated IOM device. That is, you change the
execution state (EXECSTATE) of a CM independent of the IOC's point execution state
(PTEXECST).
