6. Series 8 I/O Configuration
6.1 Adding an IOM to Project
The following IOMs are added to the Project tab using the either the File menu method
or the Drag and Drop method:
ANALOG INPUT WITH HART - High Level Analog Input, HART Capable, 16
channels
ANALOG INPUT - High Level Analog Input, 16 channels
TC/RTD - Low Level Analog Input Mux, 64 channels
Analog Output - Analog Output, 16 channels
ANALOG OUTPUT WITH HART - Analog Output, HART Capable, 16 channels
DIGITAL INPUT 24VDC - Low Voltage (24VDC) Digital Input, 32 channels
DIGITAL INPUT SEQUENCE OF EVENTS - Digital Input - Sequence of Events,
32 channels
DIGITAL OUTPUT 24VDC - Bussed Low Voltage Digital Output, 32 channels
DIGITAL INPUT PULSE ACCUMULATION Pulse Accumulation, 32 channels
Using the File menu method
To add an IOM to the Project tab by the File menu method, perform the following steps.

Action

Click File > New > I/O Modules > Series_8_IO.
A list of the available Series 8 I/O block types is displayed.

Select a block types from the drop down list. A Block Parameters
configuration form is displayed.
