– Supports SAS Tape drive (DAT160 and HHLTO5) and DVD-RAM drive
features
– DAT160 USB Tape drive, HHLTO5 FC Tape drive and RDX are not supported
– DAT160 USB Tape drive and RDX are supported on IBMi through the VIOS
partition software (see below)
v Linux:
– SUSE Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 3, or later
– Red Hat Enterprise version 5.5, or later
– Supports all 7226 Tape Drive (DAT160 and HHLTO5), RDX, and DVD-RAM
Drive features
– Does not support 7226 HHLTO5 FC Tape Drive
v VIOS Partition :
– Version 2.1.3, or later (through the VIOS partition)
– Supports all SAS and USB Tape Drive and RDX features
– The DVD-RAM Drive feature is supported with VIOS release 2.2, or later
– HHLTO5 FC Tape drive and RDX are not supported
Software requirements for IBM POWER6 models are:
v AIX:
– Version 5.3 with Technology Levels 5300-10 and 5300-11 and Service pack 5,
or later
– Supports 7226 SAS Tape Drive (DAT160 and HHLTO5), RDX, and DVD-RAM
Drive features
– DAT160 USB Tape drive and HHLTO5 FC Tape drive are not supported
v IBMi (OS/400) - Version 6.1.1, or later for the following 7226 drive features:
– Supports SAS Tape drives (DAT160 and HHLTO5) and DVD-RAM drive
features
– DAT160 USB Tape drive, HHLTO5 FC Tape drive, and RDX are not supported
