S 5) VT Cursor Mode
Determines what is returned to the host when cursor keys are hit.
Default is 2) Cursor.

Generates application ESC sequences for the key code. For help,

Generates ANSI cursor control ESC sequences that correspond to
what appears on the face of the cursor key.

Sets the terminal mode to 7-bit or 8-bit. This option sets the mode
VT-series terminals used to exchange escape sequences, control com-
mands, and status reports with an application. Default is 1) 7-Bit.

Select this option to default the font character to the terminal’s
character set instead of a DEC terminal character set.

When enabled, the terminal supports Telnet option 31 if promp-
ted. When disabled, this option returns a “won’t do” message.
