Unlike one might think, a suction motor absorbs much more current (amps) when it
takes in air without obstructions, as it can take in the maximum quantity of air
possible. As the motor absorbs current in proportion to the quantity of air the
turbine must move, the greater the amount of air moved, the greater the current draw
of the suction motor. On the other hand, if the intake to the turbine is obstructed or
the intake of the pump is limited, there is less air to be moved and therefore the
current draw (A) of the suction motor is lower.
10
Remove the suction hose E from the squeegee.
11
Lift the suction cap G to enable the motor to take in air
freely.
12
Remove the foam retardant sponge H, leaving the anti-
intrusion mesh filter I in place.
13
Put the parking brake on.
14
Tip up the detergent and dirty water tanks to access the
fuse wires.
15
Identify the fuse holder F and Anderson plug L to recharge
the batteries.
