The output trigger (channel closed signal) operates differently during internal or external scan:
l For internal scans (internal DMM enabled), it is generated at the END of a sweep, not the beginning of a
sweep.
l For external scans (internal DMMdisabled), it is generated when each channel is closed, and can be
used to trigger the measurement on the external DMM.
Specifying number of sweeps in the scan
Specifies the number of times that the instrument will sweep through the scan list (# Sweeps) or con-
tinuous sweeps (Infinite).
a. # Sweeps - Specifies the number of times (between 1 to 1,000,000 sweeps) that the instrument will
sweep through the scan list after the scan is started. Press Clear to set the sweep count to 1.
b. Infinite - Sets a scan to continue indefinitely until manually stopped using the front panel [Scan] key, or
the SCPI "ABORt" command is sent, or a "Device Clear" message is sent from the remote interface.
The instrument can hold up to 100,000 readings in reading memory, after which the annunciator will
be displayed indicating reading memory overflow. Any new readings will overwrite the first (oldest) readings
saved; the most recent readings are always preserved.
