Configuring counter 1
17. Double-click the "EPM_S601_Counter_2xDC24V" device in the device view to open its
settings.
18. Go to the Modules tab and select the"Direction (pulse at A and direction at B" entry in the
"Signal evaluation" table row for the counter 0:

19. Establish a connection to the control.
20. Load and start the application.
21. Enter a "4" as the new value in "Counter Control Word" and transfer it via <Ctrl>+<F7> key
combination to start the counting process.
• As soon as the value has been transmitted and a countable signal is applied at the
corresponding input, the counter starts to count upwards.
• The value is transmitted cyclically via the CAN bus to the control.
