Gocator Accelerator
The Gocator Accelerator improves a Gocator system's processing capability by transferring the
processing to PCs that are in the system.
The web interface and the supported output protocols (Gocator, EtherNet/IP, and ASCII protocols over
Ethernet) are identical to an unaccelerated sensor.
The Gocator Accelerator does not currently support the Modbus protocol. It also does not
currently support digital, analog, and Selcom serial output.
An application that can accelerate a standalone sensor or dual-sensor system is provided in the
Accelerator package (see below). You can also fully integrate Gocator acceleration into a client SDK-based
application.
When a sensor is accelerated, it sends data directly to the Accelerator application or an accelerator-
enabled SDK application. Users access the Gocator web interface using the IP address of the computer
running the application.
Some health indicators behave differently when a sensor is accelerated. For information on
which indicators in the Dashboard that acceleration affects, see State and Health Information on
page 255. For information on which indicators available through the Gocator protocol
acceleration affects, see Health Results on page 396.
For installation and usage instructions, as well as information on implementing acceleration in an SDK
application, download the technical user manual (15201-4.5.x.xxx_MANUAL_Technical_Gocator_
Measurement_Tool.pdf) by going to http://lmi3d.com/support/downloads/, selecting a Gocator series,
