6. ATA Numbering System and Format
(Ref. Figure 2)
The MDHI Maintenance Manual and related
MDHI manuals are prepared in general
compliance with Air Transport Association
Specification for Manufacturers' Technical
Data, ATA-100.
The uniform number system established by
ATA-100 is used. This number system
supplies a procedure for dividing material into
chapter, section, subject and page. The number
is composed of three elements, which have two
numbers each. The chapter and section
elements (subassembly 10, 20, 30, etc.) are
normally established by ATA-100. Subject/
Unit element numbers are assigned by MDHI.

7. Division of Subject Material
This Maintenance Manual is provided in
multiple sections using ATA Specification 100
as a guide.
CSP-900RMM-2 contains general mechanical
maintenance data.
CSP-900RMM-3 contains maintenance data
for instruments, electrical and avionics.
8. Page Number Blocks
Page number blocks used for each section of
the Maintenance Manual logically place the
material in sequence, as follows:
Two procedures are used for numbering
maintenance practices page blocks:
Maintenance Procedures have either a brief
subtopic or a combination of subtopics:
Description and Operation, Fault Isolation,
Removal/Installation, Inspection/Test, and
approved Repairs.
If a subtopic or all subtopics are brief, they are
combined in one topic, under Maintenance
Practices. All such topics are given page
number blockage 201 - 299.
If a subtopic becomes so lengthy that a
combination would require numerous pages,
each topic is broken out into page number
blocks as follows:
Description and Operation 1 through 99....
Fault Isolation 101 through 199...........
Maintenance Practices 201 through 299....
Servicing 301 through 399................
Removal/Installation 401 through 499.....
Adjustment/Test 501 through 599...........
Inspection/Test 601 through 699...........
Cleaning/Painting 701 through 799.........
Repairs 801 through 899..................
Each page bears original issue or the latest
revision number.
9. Figure and Table Numbering
Illustrations and tables use the same number
ing as the page block in which they appear. For
example, Figure 202 will be the second figure in
the Maintenance Practices page block.
