CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS
AIRFRAME PERIODIC INSPECTION
1. Introduction
The rotorcraft is divided into 7 different
inspection areas. The airframe periodic
inspection includes inspections for these 7
areas and the landing gear (ref. Figure 201),
and general and final requirements:
General (ref. Table 201)
Nose section and cockpit - Area 1 (ref.
Table 202)
Cabin compartment - Area 2 (ref.
Table 203)
Upper transmission deck and main rotor -
Areas 3 and 4 (ref. Table 204)
Powerplant - Area 5 (ref. Table 205)
Baggage compartment - Area 6 (ref.
Table 206)
Tailboom and empennage - Area 7 (ref.
Table 207)
Landing gear (ref. Table 208)
Final inspections (ref. Table 209)
Make a copy of each table for your inspection
records. Put your initials on the record after
successful completion of each task. At the end
of each table is a signature block for certifica
tion of each airframe periodic inspection and
continued airworthiness.
