4. Defog Manifold
A. Defog Manifold Removal
(Ref. Figure 402)
NOTE: This task is typical for left or right De
fog Manifold removal.
(1). Remove hose clamp (3) and disconnect
defog manifold (1) from heat/defog
plenum to outlet hose (2).
(2). Remove nuts (4), washers (5), and
screw (6).
(3). Remove nuts (4) and washers (5) from
stud and remove defog manifold.
B. Defog Manifold Installation

NOTE: This task is typical for left or right De
fog Manifold installation.
(1). Install defog manifold with nuts,
washer, and screw. Torque nuts.
(2). Install nuts and washers on mounting
stud. Torque nut.
Sealing Compound (C205)
(3). Seal stud fasteners with sealing
compound (C205) (Ref. Section
20-50-00).
(4). Connect defog manifold to heat/defog
plenum to outlet hose with hose clamp.
Torque hose clamp.
5. Foot Heater Valve
A. Foot Heater Valve Removal
(Ref. Figure 402)
NOTE: This task is typical for left or right Foot
Heater Valve removal.
(1). Disconnect foot heater cable (8) from
foot heater valve (7).
(2). Remove screws (10) and washers (11)
attaching foot heater valve to bracket.
(3). Loosen hose clamp (9) and remove foot
heater valve from heat/defog plenum to
outlet hose (2).
B. Foot Heater Valve Installation
(Ref. Figure 402)
NOTE: This task is typical for left or right Foot
Heater Valve installation.
(1). Install foot heater valve in heat/defog
plenum to outlet hose. Install hose
clamp. Torque hose clamp.
(2). Install screws and washers through
bracket into foot heater valve. Torque
screws.
(3). Connect foot heater cable to valve and
adjust linkage as required to ensure
proper closure. Adjust cable so that the
foot heater valve arm contacts stop in
the fully closed position.
