(1). Be shunted with a conductive rubber
shunt plug (Mass Systems, Inc.
PN 306212) or wire across exposed
terminal shorted to discharge cartridge
connector case.
(2). Be packed properly in a suitable
container. The container markings and
shipping documents must comply with
the requirements (DOT).
NOTE: The explosive charge in each discharge
cartridge is approximately 0.4 grams.

A. Fire Bottle Assembly Removal
(1). Remove electrical load center (Ref.
CSP-900RMM-3, Section 96-00-00).
Fire Extinguisher
(2). Left fire bottle assembly:
(a). Detach connectors P507 from (red
port) primary discharge cartridge (1),
P510 from (blue port) alternate
discharge cartridge (2), and pressure
gauge P511 (3).
(b). Install shunt plug cover (T1006) to
primary and alternate discharge
cartridges.
(c). Disconnect crossflow tube assemblies
(4 and 12) and left side discharge
tube assembly (5).
(3). Right bottle assembly
(a). Detach connectors P508 from (red
port) primary discharge cartridge (9),
P509 (blue port) alternate discharge
cartridge (10), and pressure gage
P512 (11).
(b). Install (T1006) shunt plug covers to
primary and alternate discharge
cartridges.
(c). Disconnect crossflow tube assemblies
(12 and 4) and right side discharge
tube assembly (13).
(4). Remove screws (18) and washers (19)
from fire bottle mounting support (24)
or (25) and remove fire bottle assembly.
B. Fire Bottle Assembly Installation
Fire Extinguisher
(1). Install fire bottle assembly and install
screws (18) and washers (19) into fire
bottle mounting support (24) or (25).
Torque screws.
NOTE:
Red and blue outlet ports can be rotated
for installation alignment by loosening
jam nuts.
When ports are aligned with tubing,
torque jam nut to 25-30 ft lb (33.9-40.7
Nm) and safety using lockwire (C702).
Do not remove outlet port from
fire bottle assembly.
(2). Left fire bottle assembly:
(a). Connect left side discharge tube
assembly and crossflow tube assem
blies. Torque tube assemblies.
(b). Remove shunt plug cover (T1006).
(c). Attach connectors P507, P510, and
P511.
(3). Right fire bottle assembly:
(a). Connect right side discharge tube
assembly and and crossflow tube
assemblies. Torque tube assemblies.
(b). Remove shunt plug cover (T1006)
and attach electrical connector plugs.
