Sealant, Fuel Resistant (C216)
Adhesive, Epoxy (C411)
(1). Small irregularities of less than 1.00
cubic in. (2.54 cubic cm) may be filled
with sealant (C216) or epoxy adhesive
(C411).
Foam, Rigid, Structural (C505)
(2). Large irregularities, including entire
foam block fabrication, may be filled
with new rigid foam (C505) material
and bonded in place with epoxy adhe
sive (C411). or sealant (C216).
Primer (C310)
(3). Surface seal all foam repairs with
primer (C310).
(4). Rebond loose hook & loop tape (C720)
with sealant (C216).
(5). Fill all areas where foam supports are
unsupported due to structural and
component protrusion with foam tape
(C718).
(6). Build up thickness of tape to allow
approximately 30 percent compression
after fuel tank installation.

Barrier Repair

C719 Tape, Aluminum
Sealant, Fuel Resistant (C216)
(1). Replace unserviceable aluminum tape
(C719) with new and seal edges with
sealant (C216).
(2). Seal small holes in cavity vapor barrier
with sealant (C216).
6. Fuel Neck Cover Seal Replacement

C429 Solvent Cleaner
C718 Tape, Foam
(1). Remove fuel neck cover.
(2). Remove unserviceable seal.
Solvent Cleaner (C429)
(3). Clean surface with solvent cleaner
(C429) and allow to air dry a minimum
of 15 minutes.
(4). Install new foam tape (C718) along
outboard flange of fuel neck cover.
(5). Install fuel neck cover.
