(a). Torque screws (14) 20 to 25 in-lb
(2.26 to 2.82 Nm).
(4). Apply sealing compound (C205) to
mating surfaces, washers (7, 15), and
screws (6, 14).
(5). Connect duct (18) to outlet shroud (1).
(6). Install band clamp (22).
(7). Install evaporator (12) (ref. Procedure
13.B.).
15. Thermostatic Switch (CURRENT CONFIG)
A. Thermostatic Switch Removal
(Ref. Figure 405)
(1). Remove outlet shroud (1) (ref. Proce
dure 14.A.).
(2). Remove nuts (40), screws (38), and
washers (39).
(3). Carefully straighten the temperature
probe as you pull it through grommet
(41).
(4). Remove thermostatic switch (19).
B. Thermostatic Switch Installation
(Ref. Figure 405)
(1). Install thermostatic switch (19) with
screws (38), washers (39), and nuts
(40).
(a). Torque nuts (40) 20 to 25 in-lb (2.26
to 2.82 Nm).
(2). Carefully pull the temperature probe
thru grommet (41).
(3). Carefully bend the temperature probe
as shown (ref. Figure 405, Detail A).
(4). Install outlet shroud (1) (ref. Procedure
14.B.).
