7. Removal / Installation of the Optional
CabinMounted Brackets
(Ref. Figure 202)
A. Removal (Left / Right Sides Typical)
(1). Remove self-locking nuts (6), washers
(5), and cabin-mounted brackets (1)
from bonded studs (4).
B. Installation (Left / Right Sides Typical)

C301 Epoxy Primer
C411 Epoxy Adhesive
NOTE: When you replace unserviceable studs
(4), apply epoxy adhesive (C411) to the mat
ing surfaces of new studs (4).
Adhesive, Epoxy (C411)
(1). Check for unserviceable studs (4), and
replace as required.
(2). Install brackets (1), nuts (6) and
washers (5).
Primer, Epoxy (C301)
(3). Apply epoxy primer (C301) on bracket
(1) mounting hardware (ref. CSP-SPM,
20-30-00, Application of Epoxy
Primer).
8. Inspection / Check
(Ref. Figure 201 and Figure 202)
A. Emergency Fire Extinguisher
NOTE: Ref. the manufacturer instructions to
service the fire extinguishers.
(1). Examine the fire extinguisher for signs
of damage, corrosion, pitting or other
conditions which can prevent operation.
(2). Visually examine the nozzle to make
sure there are no obstructions.
(3). Make sure of the pressure gauge
indication on 2.5 lb (1.13 kg) fire
extinguisher and date of last service.
(4). Weigh the fire extinguisher.
(a). Compare to manufacturer recom
mended gross weight shown on the
extinguisher nameplate.
(5). If necessary, service 2.5 lb (1.13 kg)
fire extinguisher (ref. manufacturers
instructions).
B. Fire Extinguisher Bracket
(1). Examine fire extinguisher bracket for
correct installation and damage.
(2). Make sure the clasps open easily and
lock correctly.
9. Operation
(Ref. Figure 201 and Figure 202)

Fire Extinguisher Fluid
(1). Grasp fire extinguisher handle with one
hand.
(2). Use the thumb and forefinger of the
other hand to unfasten the clasp.
(3). Remove fire extinguisher from bracket.
(4). Remove safety pin from handle.
(5). Point nozzle toward base of flame.
(6). Squeeze the handle.
