C. Intermediate Storage Depreservation and
Activation
Special Tools

T2008 Engine Area Cover
T108 Blade Tiedown
T107 Pitot Cover
T106 Upper Deck Cover
(1). Remove engine area cover (T2008),
pitot cover (T107) and upper deck cover
(T106). Stow in designated location.
(2). Open all doors and ventilate helicopter
(Ref. Section 06-00-00).
(3). Remove blade tiedowns (T108) and
stow with other covers.
(4). Remove battery from storage and
install serviceable battery (Ref. Section
96-10-00).
(5). Clean main rotor assembly (Rev
CSP-SPM,. Section 20-20-00).
(6). Clean and service hydraulic system in
accordance with (Ref. Section
29-00-00).
(7). Transmission oil and lubrication pump
filter assembly are to be replaced for
aircraft that have been in storage in
excess of a year without operation (Ref.
Section 63-21-00).
(8). Install main rotor blades (Ref. Section
62-10-00).
(9). Check fuel system for presence of water
and drain as necessary.
(10). Fill fuel cell as necessary with approved
fuel (Ref. Section 12-00-00).
(11). Clean and service hydraulic system in
accordance with (Ref. Section
29-00-00).
(12). Clean helicopter as necessary (Ref.
CSP-SPM, Section 20-20-00).
(13). Ensure all removed components have
been reinstalled. Check helicopter
records for components that have been
removed or disconnected. Check for
subsequent installation.
(14). Ensure systems have been properly
depreserved and serviced before any
system or component operational test is
performed, refer to appropriate ATA
Chapter.
(15). Remove static ground wire installed for
storage.
(16). Record date helicopter was prepared for
service in helicopter records.
(17). Perform preflight check (Ref.
CSP-900RFM-1 900 CONFIG or
CSP-902RFM-1 902 CONFIG).
