vapor shroud box (5) and remove fuel
shut-off valve assembly with vapor
shroud cover (4).
(9). Remove silicone from back of connector.
Note color code and pin location
of wires when removing and
install in same order to prevent valve mal
function.
(10). Remove electrical pins from connector
with extraction tool (Ref. CSP-SPM,
Section 20-60-00).
B. Fuel Shut−Off Valve Assembly
Installation
(Ref. Figure 415)
NOTE: This task is typical for LH and RH Fuel
Shut-Off Valve Assembly installation.
Consumable Materials

Item Nomenclature
C222 Fluorosilicone Compound
C230 Sealant, Electrically Conductive
C702 Lockwire
C818 Sleeve, Protective, Expandable and
Insulating
C819 Insulation Sleeving, Electrical, Heat
Shrinkable
(1). Install valve wires in connector.
(a). Install expandable sleeving (C818)
over wires.
(b). Install heat shrinkable sleeving
(C819) on wires and shrink over
electrical pin splices.
(c). Install electrical pins in connector
with insertion tool (Ref. CSP-SPM,
Section 20-60-00).
Fluorosilicone Compound (C222)
(d). Apply fluorosilicone compound (C222)
to back of connector and wires and
allow to cure.
(2). Prepare vapor shroud box (5) and fuel
shut-off valve (8) surface for electrical
bonding (Ref. CSP-SPM).
Sealant, Electrically Conductive (C230)
(3). Apply sealant (C230) to faying surface
between vapor shroud box assembly (5)
and structural bulkhead (Ref. CSP-
SPM).
(4). Install fuel shut-off valve assembly (8)
in vapor shroud box (5) with bolts (9)
and washers (10). Torque bolts.
(5). Connect tube assemblies (6 and 7) to
fittings on fuel shut-off valve assembly
(8). Torque tube nuts.
(6). Prepare vapor shroud box (5) and vapor
shroud box cover (4) surface for electri
cal bonding (Ref. CSP-SPM).
(7). Apply sealant (C230) to faying surfaces
between vapor shroud box cover and
vapor shroud box and install vapor
shroud box cover assembly (4) with
bolts (2) and washers (3). Torque bolts.
(8). Attach connector (1) to fuel shut-off
valve assembly and safety with lock
wire (C702).
(9). Perform fuel shut-off valve operational
test (Ref. Section 28-00-00).
(10). Perform fuel booster pump operational
test (Ref. Section 28-00-00) and check
for fuel leakage.
NOTE: Allow sealant (C230) to fully cure prior
to pressure test.
(11). Perform fuel supply vapor shroud leak
check/pressure test (Ref. Section
28-00-00).
