Narrow aisles
Ensure to have sufficient space and escape routes according to standards and regulations of the
country where the robot is installed. For more information, see ISO 3691-4 or ANSI B56.5.
Dust
Dusty environments can affect the performance and durability of the robot. Dust can get into the
robot computer and mechanical parts, affecting their performance and durability, and it can
obstruct the view of the robot's sensor system. Make sure the environment MiR250 Hook
operates in is suitable for its IP rating—see specifications on the MiR website.
Static landmarks and dynamic obstacles
The robot uses static landmarks to navigate by. If it cannot detect enough distinguishing
landmarks, it cannot navigate the map efficiently—see Checking localization.
Elevators
If you intend for the robot to use elevators to travel between floors, verify that the combined
weight of MiR250 Hook, including load, battery, and top module does not exceed the limits of the
elevator.
Traffic management
Traffic management must be implemented to avoid collision between personnel and MiR250
Hook. If you already have some traffic management implemented on your site, you should
analyze whether the same management can be applied to your MiR robots. See Traffic
management for guideline on implementing zones for basic traffic management, and see How to
use zones on a map for more information about how you can use all of the map zones to control
the robot behavior.
Consider creating parking areas for the robot to be used when it is not on a mission. In MiRFleet,
you can use Staging positions as parking areas.
Evacuation plan
In MiRFleet, it is possible to set up evacuation of robots from one or more zones in case of an
emergency situation. Evacuation zones should be created and Evacuation positions should be
added to the map—see How to set up evacuation zones and fire alarms in MiRFleet for more
