12. Commissioning

It is a good idea to set up users as one of the first steps in the setup process to make sure that all
site elements are created with the correct user profile. When a user creates a new user group,
that user and all users in the same user group, have access to edit everything that is created by
the users in the new user group. This means the users may edit components if the following
applies:
The user group the user is assigned to has permission to edit the component type.
The component was created by a user from the same user group as you.
The component was created by a second user group that was created by a user from the same
user group as you. In other words, user group always have permission to edit components that
are made by child user groups.
The user profiles are created during commissioning. By default, the robot has three user groups:
User, Administrator, and Distributor. Parts of the user interface can be locked by the
commissioner. The locked parts are typically related to the safety of the robot system, and
changing these settings can violate the CE marking of the robot.
It is important to analyze and consider who is:
Working directly with MiR250 Hook as direct users or operators?
Responsible for MiR250 Hook as commissioner?
Furthermore, the following questions should be answered:
How many different users are there?
What tasks does each user have with MiR250 Hook?
What permissions should the different users have?
What functions or widgets should be available for the different users?
For more details on users and dashboards, see MiRRobotInterfaceGuide on the
Support Portal.
Before creating users or user groups, you should map out the permissions for each user group
using a table like Table 12.2, and verify that there are enough user groups to define all of the
users that will be added to the system.
