Increase of the hot-spot temperature
You can use this parameter to set the increase of the hot-spot temperature
above ambient temperature in accordance with IEEE Std C57.91. The value
to be set depends on the design of your transformer.
To set the increase of the hot-spot temperature, proceed as follows:
1. Go to Settings > Parameters > Overload > Increase of the hot-spot
temperature.
2. Enter the desired value.
3. Press the Accept button to save the modified parameter.
Ratio of the evaluated power loss
You can use this parameter to set the ratio of the power losses at rated cur-
rent to the idling losses of the transformer. The value to be set depends on
the design of your transformer.
To set the ratio of the evaluated power loss of the transformer, proceed as
follows:
1. Go to Settings > Parameters > Overload > Ratio of the evaluated
power loss.
2. Enter the desired value.
3. Press the Accept button to save the modified parameter.
Cust. limit (short-term): θ_h
You can use this parameter to set the customer-specific limit for the maxi-
mum hot-spot temperature for short-term overload of the transformer. To do
so, proceed as follows:
1. Go to Settings > Parameters > Overload > Cust. limit (short-term):
θ_h.
2. Enter the desired value.
3. Press the Accept button to save the modified parameter.
Cust. limit (long-term): θ_h
You can use this parameter to set the customer-specific limit for the maxi-
mum hot-spot temperature for long-term overload of the transformer. To do
so, proceed as follows:
1. Go to Settings > Parameters > Overload > Cust. limit (long-term): θ_h.
2. Enter the desired value.
