Removing Lines and Extensions from Service
You may be able to remove problem lines and extensions from service until they can be repaired.
If you are a supervisors or attendant, you may be asked to remove a problem line or extension from service. This helps ensure
maximum system performance. For example, your can busy-out a noisy line or problem extension until service personnel can
repair the problem. Following repair, you can return the line or extension to service.
While removed from service, the line or extension the appears busy to all callers.
Removing Lines and Extensions from
Service
To remove a line or extension from service.
1. Press
INTERCOM.
2. Dial #40.
3. Do one of the following.
a) Dial the number of the extension you want to remove from service (e.g., 302).
b) Dial the extension number of the line you want to remove from service (e.g., 101 for line 1).
4. Dial 6 to remove the line or extension from service.
a) At the extension removed from service, you see Out of Service.
b) The line key for a line removed from service will be on (red).
5. Press SPEAKER to hang up.
To return a line or extension to service.
1. Press
INTERCOM.
2. Dial #40.
3. Do one of the following.
a) Dial the number of the extension you want to return to service (e.g., 302).
b) Dial the extension number of the line you want to return to service (e.g., 101 for line 1).
4. Dial 4 to return the line or extension to service.
5. Press SPEAKER to hang up.
