Application > TN 5250 > Lead-in Chars
You can enable additional printer features which are not accessible through
standard coax emulations. To access these features, send text commands
in the data stream. The commands must have a start and end code. Three
sets (each containing a start and end code) are available or the user can
choose User Defined.
Set 1 <%>
Start code is “<%”. End code is “>”.
Set 2 ¬¬$
Start code is “¬¬. End code “$”.
Set 3 _%_
Start code is “_%”. End code “_”.
User Defined
The codes are user defined per the menus User
Defined St1, User Defined St2, and User Defined Stp.
Factory Default
Set 1 <%>
IMPORTANT
When User Defined is chosen, the menus User
Defined St1, User Defined St2, and User Defined
Stp will be unhidden.
Application > TN 5250 > User Defined St1
This option allows you to define your own value (in ASCII characters) for the
User Defined option in the Lead-in Chars menu. “St1” specifies Start Code 1.
