You can select one of the following serial interface protocols to meet the host
interface requirements,

ONLINE or Paper Motion Fault
Host IO > Serial > Data Term Ready
Stands for Data Terminal Ready. This configuration is part of hardware flow
control and determines when the Data Terminal Ready (DTR) signal is
generated. This signal indicates if the printer is ready to receive data.
Continuously asserts the DTR signal.
Asserts the DTR signal when the printer is ONLINE
and the internal serial buffer is not full (BNF).
Asserts the DTR signal when the printer is OFFLINE or
the internal serial buffer is full.
Asserts the DTR signal when the printer is ONLINE.
Never asserts the DTR signal.
