Solution/Explanation
DIRECT THERMAL
Remove Ribbon
This is the normal reminder message when you change the
Media > Handling > Print Mode setting from Transfer to Direct.
1. Remove ribbon from the ribbon supply and ribbon take-up
spindles in the printer.
2. If ribbon is required for printing, change the Print Mode back
to Transfer.
ERROR: DC PROGRAM
NOT VALID
The printer cannot find the data controller program or the
validation checksum is corrupt.
1. Power off the printer for 15 seconds, then power back on.
2. Download the emulation software again.
3. If the problem persists, contact your authorized customer
service representative.
ERROR: IPDS needs 300
DPI Head
The printer has detected a 203 DPI printhead installed with IPDS
software downloaded. IPDS software only supports the 300 DPI
printhead.
1. Power off the printer and replace the 203 DPI printhead with
a 300 DPI printhead.
ERROR: PROGRAM NOT
COMPATIBLE
The printer is not compatible with the downloaded program.
1. Power off the printer for 15 seconds, then power back on.
2. If the problem persists, contact your authorized customer
service representative.
ERROR: PROGRAM NOT
VALID
The printer does not see a program in flash memory.
1. Power off the printer for 15 seconds, then power back on.
2. If the problem persists, contact your authorized customer
service representative.
