The paper feed roller feeds a sheet of paper to the registration roller. When the registration sensor [F]
detects a sheet of paper, the machine makes a paper buckle at the registration roller to correct paper
skew. After that, the registration clutch turns on, and then the registration roller transports a sheet of
paper to the transfer roller unit.
The paper end sensor [G] detects whether paper is installed in the tray and whether the tray is set in
the machine, because this machine does not have a tray set sensor.
Tray Lift
The bottom plate is lifted by the springs in the tray when the tray is inserted in the machine, and the
bottom tray lock lever [A] is released by the projection at the right side of the tray set location. There is
no tray lowering mechanism for these models. Therefore, you must press down the bottom plate when
you insert the tray in the machine.
Bypass Feed
This machine uses a manual bypass feed system.
When a sheet of paper is inserted from bypass tray, the registration sensor feeler [A] activates and the
registration sensor detects the paper. One second after detecting the paper, the registration roller
operates to pull it
In the energy saving mode, the paper pulling operation is not performed. Load paper after turning on
the power, returning from energy saving, or warming up.
If the power is turned on, the machine returned from energy saving, or the cover is opened/closed,
