ESW
661User Manual 1177.6298.02 ─ 08
Parameters:
<Address> Range: 0 to 30
*RST: (no influence on this parameter, factory default 20)
Example:
SYST:COMM:GPIB:ADDR 18
Manual operation: See "GPIB Address" on page 401
SYSTem:COMMunicate:GPIB[:SELF]:RTERminator <Terminator>
This command selects the GPIB receive terminator.
Output of binary data from the instrument to the control computer does not require
such a terminator change.
Parameters:
<Terminator> LFEOI | EOI
LFEOI
According to the standard, the terminator in ASCII is <LF>
and/or <EOI>.
EOI
For binary data transfers (e.g. trace data) from the control com-
puter to the instrument, the binary code used for <LF> might be
included in the binary data block, and therefore should not be
interpreted as a terminator in this particular case. This can be
avoided by using only the receive terminator EOI.
*RST: LFEOI
Example:
SYST:COMM:GPIB:RTER EOI
Manual operation: See "GPIB Terminator" on page 402
SYSTem:DISPlay:MESSage[:TEXT] <Message>
This command defines a custom message that is displayed when you control the
R&S ESW remotely.
You can turn off the display with SYSTem:DISPlay:MESSage:STATe.
Parameters:
<Message> String containing the message you want to display.
Example: //Define message to be displayed.
SYST:DISP:MESS 'a message'
SYSTem:DISPlay:MESSage:STATe <State>
This command turns the display of a custom message in local lockout state on and off.
This can be useful, for example, to indicate which device controls the R&S ESW.
