4.3.6.4 Distance from walls
Overview
T
he availability may be impaired if the protective field stretches as far as a wall or a
different object. So, plan to have a space between the protective field and the object. A
distance of the TZ value is recommended to ensure availability. (TZ = tolerance range of
the safety laser scanner, see "Data sheet", page 165.)

Persons and parts of the body to be protected may not be recognized in case of
non-observance.
If the distance between the protective field and the wall is so large that a person can
stand in it, this person might not be detected. If needed, take suitable measures to
prevent this such as:
