Motor connection
If the L08 / L09 option is used with Booksize Cabinet Kits, the motor cables are connected to
terminal block -X1.

Description
The dv/dt filter plus voltage peak limiter comprises two components: the dv/dt reactor and
the voltage-limiting network (voltage peak limiter), which limits the voltage peaks to the level
of the DC link voltage and returns energy to the DC link.
The dv/dt filters plus voltage peak limiter must be used for motors for which the dielectric
strength of the insulation system is unknown or insufficient. Standard motors of the 1LA5,
1LA6, and 1LA8 series only require them at supply voltages > 500 V + 10 %.
The dv/dt filter plus voltage peak limiter limits the voltage gradient to values < 500 V/µs and
the typical voltage peaks to the values below (for motor cable lengths of < 980 ft (300 m) for
frame sizes FX, GX, HX or < 490 ft (150 m) for frame size JX):

Option L10 is installed in an additional cabinet with a width of 23.6 inches (600 mm) that is
located on the right-hand side of the Motor Module.
