14.3.1 Patient Circuits with Incubators, Cots and Paediatric beds
If using the ventilator to ventilate a patient in an incubator the user should select
the N5188 or N5188/02 patient circuit.
If using the ventilator to ventilate a patient in an IICS, Cot or Paediatric bed the
user should select the N5188/02 patient circuit.
The N5188 patient circuit heater wire and temperature probe stop 450mm from
the ET manifold. This allows a section of unheated circuit to enter the incubator.
The N5188/02 patient circuit has the heater wire and temperature probe at the ET
manifold.
