10. Quick Setup
The alarm and functional testing in this Quick Setup section must be performed
before use on a patient.
Warning: If any of these tests do not function as described and the problem
can not be rectified by reference to the trouble shooting chapter on
page 200, then the unit should not be used until it has been repaired. Please
contact an SLE approved engineer, or SLE.
Warning: The settings used for the quick setup of the ventilator do not bear
any relation to settings for ventilation of a patient.
Warning: The ventilator must not be connected to the patient during this
procedure.
Carry out the “Ventilator Set-up” on page 78 before commencing with the
following tests.
This routine must be carried out every time the ventilator is to be used.
