20.1 Ventilator Related Problems

Ventilator does not
power up when
turned on but is
connected to mains
supply.
Mains power supply turned off.
Blown main fuse.
Turn on mains supply.
Refer ventilator to qualified
service personnel to replace
mains fuse.
Ventilator screen
remains blank on
power up. Power
LED is On.
Display failure. Refer ventilator to qualified
service personnel.
Ventilator screen
blank with alarm
tone being
generated.
Ventilator continuing
to ventilate.
Display failure. Remove patient to alternative
form of ventilation, then remove
ventilator from service.

Ventilator start up
