Step 10. If TTV (volume targeting) of the triggered and mechanical breaths is required,
turn on the function and set the Max PIP and the Tidal Vol (Targeted Tidal
Volume). The user may have to adjust the Low Tidal volume alarm threshold.
Note: When TTV is discontinued the Max PIP returns to 5mbar above the set
PEEP.
Step 11. Set the PSV parameters if required.
Press the PSV Setup button to display the
Pressure Support settings panel.
Adjust the level of termination sensitivity (the stop
support at %).
Note: If TTV is ON the termination sensitivity will
only come into effect if the targeted tidal volume
could not be reached.
Press the Return button to return to the mode panel.
16.6.2 Ventilation Without a Flow Sensor Connected.
When the ventilator is used without the flow sensor connected, the user will have
to set the Breath Trigger Sensitivity and the Cycle Fail Alarm.
Flow based functions, waveforms and loops will not be displayed.
TTV will not be available.
