Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
Printhead has excessive
ink buildup inside.
JetStream may have been
incorrectly shut down.
Clean the Printhead (see “Cleaning
the Printhead” on page 142).
Ink stream is missing the Ink
Return Gutter.
Clear blockages from the Printhead
(see “Clearing a Minor Blockage in
the Printhead” on page 145).
Adjust the ink stream to direct it into
the Ink Return Gutter (see “Adjusting
the Ink Stream Position” on page
149).

Solution
Poor print quality
Excess ink spraying onto
product, or printing is cut
off at top or bottom:
Ink stream is missing the Ink
Return Gutter.
Clear blockages from the Printhead
(see “Clearing a Minor Blockage in
the Printhead” on page 145).
Adjust the ink stream to direct it into
the Ink Return Gutter (see “Adjusting
the Ink Stream Position” on page
149).

Ink is leaking into the
Console, leaking from the
Console, or the “Mixing
Tank Overflow” warning
appears on the screen.
The Mixing Tank is overflowing.
Partially drain the Mixing Tank (see
Drain Printer” on page 118) for
approximately one minute and then
select Start Jetting.
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
No ink jet.
Fully blocked nozzle or hardware
failure.
Call your certified distributor or Squid
Support immediately.
