• Install the dowel pins 1 and a new gasket 2.
.
• Tighten the crankcase cover bolts to the specified torque.
Crankcase cover bolt: 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
After reinstalling the water pump, check the followings.
• Kick starter lever (8-6)
• Brake pedal (2-20, 5-9)
• Transmission oil level (2-9)
• Engine coolant level (2-11)
CAUTION
Use a new gasket to prevent engine coolant leakage.
Apply THREAD LOCK SUPER or equivalent thread lock
to outside of the oil seal before installing it.
