CYLINDER, PISTON AND EXHAUST VALVE 6-11
CYLINDER
Install the cylinder in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention
to the following points:
• Fit a new gasket 1 and dowel pins.
• Apply engine oil to the cylinder bore.
• Tighten the cylinder nuts to the specified torque according to
the specified tightening order as shown.
 Cylinder nut: 38 N·m (3.8 kgf-m, 27.5 lb-ft)
• Install the read valve. (11-12)
• Tighten the exhaust valve rod bolt using the pin 2 as a stop-
per.
NOTE:
The pin 2 is one of the included parts.
 Exhaust valve rod bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
• Fit a new gasket and install the exhaust side valve cover 3.
 Exhaust side valve cover bolt:
4.5 N·m (0.45 kgf-m, 3.0 lb-ft)
• Install the caburetor. (11-7)
• Install the exhaust pipe. (5-9)
• Apply grease to the O-rings.
• Install new O-rings 4 and 5.
 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”
(or equivalent grease)
NOTE:
Apply Bond to the stud bolt threads when assembling the
removed stud bolts into the cylinder.
