FRONT AND REAR BRAKES 15-19
• Remove the reservoir cap and diaphragm.
• Strip the dust seal boot 2 and unsnap the snap ring 3.
• Remove the push rod assembly 4.
• Remove the piston/cup set 5.

INSPECTION
• Inspect the cylinder for scuffing.
• Inspect the piston/cup and spring for damage.
CLEANING
• Flush the master cylinder ports with pressurized air.
• Wash the master cylinder bore and piston with fresh brake
fluid.
Specification and classification: DOT 4
NOTE:
Do not use gasoline or other cleaning solvents to wash the mas-
ter cylinder parts.
