Allhardwareforsafetybeltmountingpointsshouldbeevaluatedforcorrosion.All
attachmentpointsofthesystemshouldbecheckedfortightnessofmountinghardware.
Checkthewebinareasexposedtoultravioletraysfromthesunorextremedustor
dirt.Iftheoriginalcolorofthewebintheseareasisextremelyfaded,thephysical
strengthofthiswebmayhavedeteriorated.Ifthisconditionexists,replacethesafety
beltsystem.

Thehighmileageassociatedwithheavytrucks,thecontinualrelativemovementof
theseatwiththecab,thepossiblecontactwiththevehicleseatorotherpartsofthe

thatthesystemisinspectedevery24,000km(15,000miles)ormoreoftenifthe

systemthatshowscuts,fraying,extremeorunusualwear,signicantdiscolorations
duetoultravioletrayexposure,dusty-dirtyconditions,abrasiontothesafetybelt
webbingordamagetothebuckle,latchplate,retractor,hardwareoranyotherobvious
problemshouldbereplacedimmediately,regardlessofthemileage.
Oncereplacementofthesafetybelthasbeendeterminednecessary,becertainthatitis

Iftheinspectionindicatesthatanyotherpartofthesafetybeltsystemrequires
replacement,theentirebeltsystemmustbereplaced.Aninstallationguideisattached
toeveryreplacementsystem,entitled"Three-PointSafetyBeltInstallationGuide."
Thereareseparatesafetybeltinstructionguidesforsuspensionandstationaryseats.
Usetheproperguideforyourtypeofseatandfollowtheinstructionsveryclosely.It
isvitallyimportantthatallcomponentsaremountedbackinthesamepositionsasthe
originalcomponentsthatwereremoved.Thiswillmaintainthedesignintegrityofthe
mountingpointsforthesafetybeltassembly.
