Thevehiclewillstrivetomaintaina
straightline.Takingacurvewiththe
differentiallocksengagedmaycause
anaccident,leadingtoseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
CAUTION
Neveroperatethevehiclewiththe
differentialslockedanylongerthanis
necessary,asthisplacesagreatstrainon
theaxlesandmaycauserapidtirewear.
Undernormaltractionconditions,donotengagethedifferentiallocks.Ifatall
possible,donotusethedifferentiallockswhiletakingacurve.Withgoodtraction
andthedifferentiallocksengaged,thevehiclewillbeundersteeredandthereforewill
tendtodrivestraightinacurve.Whenusinglocksongoodtractionsurface,drive
cautiouslyanddonotexceed40km/h(25mph).Disengagethelocksassoonas
possible.
Whenthedifferentiallocksaredisengaged,thecouplingsmaybeundertension.
DisengagethelocksbyreturningtheswitchtotheOFFposition.Helpwiththe
disengagementbybrieylettingupontheacceleratortorelievethetorqueonthe
couplings.
Thedriveaxle(s)maybeequippedwithdifferentiallocks.Thesingledriveaxlewill
onlyhaveawheeldifferentiallock.Withtandemdriveaxles,therecouldbeboth
wheeldifferentiallocksandaninter-axledifferentiallock.
