GASEOUSEMISSIONCONTROLSYSTEMSWARRANTY
V olvoTrucksNorthAmerica.warrantstheEmissionControlSystemsoneachnew
V olvodieselengineinanewV olvotrucktocomplywithallUnitedStatesFederal
andCanadianemissionsregulationsapplicableatthetimeofmanufactureofthe
engine,andtobefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormaluse
andserviceupto60months,or100,000miles,whicheveroccursrst,providedall
V olvoTrucksNorthAmerica,maintenancerequirementsarefollowedasdescribed
inthismanual.Allwarrantyperiodsarecalculatedfromthedate-in-serviceofthe
newvehicle.Therepairorreplacementofdefectivepartswillbemadewithoutcharge
forthecostofpartsand,ifrepairsaremadeatanauthorizedV olvoTrucksNorth
Americadealership,therewillbenochargeforlabor.V olvoTrucksNorthAmerica’s
obligationunderthiswarrantyislimitedtotherepairorreplacement,atV olvoTrucks
NorthAmerica’soption,ofanypart(s)oftheEmissionControlSystemsofsuch
engineand/orvehiclefoundtobedefectiveuponexaminationbyV olvoTrucksNorth
Americaandprovidedthatsuchpart(s)werereturnedtoV olvoTrucksNorthAmerica
oritsnearestauthorizedDealerwithinareasonableperiodoftime.
QualicationsandLimitations:
Note:NotcoveredbytheEmissionsControlSystemsWarranty:
•Malfunctionscausedbymisuse,improperadjustments,modication,alteration,
tampering,disconnection,improperorinadequatemaintenanceanduseof
improperdieselfuelorDEF.
•Damageresultingfromaccident,actsofnatureorothereventsbeyondthecontrol
ofV olvoTrucksNorthAmerica.
•Inconvenience,lossofuseofthevehicle,commerciallossofanykindincluding,
butnotlimitedto,consequentialorincidentaldamages
•Anyvehicleinwhichtheodometerhasbeenalteredordamagedsothatmileage
cannotbereadilydetermined.
