Toaccessthebatteriesonavehicleequippedwithsidefairings,openthefold-out
fairing.Onthesecondbatteryfromthefront,therearespecial,largerbrassposts
installedtoacceptjumpercables.
Whenjumpingbatteriestostartanengine,itisimportantthatthejumpercablesare
connecteddirectlyfromonesetofbatteriesinonevehicletotheothersetofbatteries
intheothervehicle(unlessvehicleisequippedwithoptionalEmergencyStart
System).Thiswaythecrankingcurrentiscarriedthroughtheproperstarterwiring.
Note:Makesurethecablesareroutedunderthefairing,thenconnectedasshownin
illustration.Closeandlockthefairingbeforeclimbingintothecab.
