(withoutatrailer)oronslipperyroads,
theenginebrakeswitchmustbeinthe
"OFF"position.Failuretofollowthis
instructioncanresultinlossofvehicle
controlandseriouspersonalinjuryor
death.
Note:ThevehicleABSwillautomaticallyturnoffthevehiclespeedretarding
device,IFoneofthesensedrearwheelsislockingupasaresultofvehiclespeed
retardingdeviceoperation.Thevehiclespeedretardingdevicewillbeturnedback
onautomaticallywhenthewheelsbecomeunlocked.Considerswitchingtoalower
brakinglevelifthisoccursfrequently.
Avehiclespeedretardingdeviceisnotintendedtobringthevehicletoastop.A
vehiclespeedretardingdeviceisonlyintendedtoretardthevehiclespeedunder
certainconditions.
Note:Itisnormalfortheretobeaslightdelayintheapplicationofavehiclespeed
retardingdevice.Whenusingdevicesofthistype,besuretothinkaheadandanalyze
conditionsinordertousethedeviceproperly.

usessoftwaretoclosethevariablegeometryturbochargertocreateretardation.
Note:Forbothvariablegeometryturbochargerandenginebrakes,usea"onegear"
drivingstrategywhengoingdownhilltokeepenginespeedupforeffectivebraking
(forexample:uphillin7thgearanddownhillin6th).
