WhenistheAirbagDeployed

Theairbagisonlydeployedduringahead-oncollision,wherethevehiclehitsaxed

orheavyobjectwithsufcientforce.TheSRSsystemregistersboththeforceofthe

collisionandtheinternalforcescausedbythecollision.Thecontrolunitdeterminesif

thecollisionissufcientlyviolentfortheairbagtobedeployed.

Note:TheSRSsystemisonlyactivatedonceinacollision.Iftheairbaghasdeployed,

thefollowingisrecommended:

*HavethevehicletowedtoanauthorizedV olvoTruckdealer.Evenifthevehiclecan

bedrivenafteracollision,itisnotrecommendedtodrivethetruckwiththeairbag

deployed.

*HaveanauthorizedV olvoTruckdealerchangethecomponentsintheSRSsystem.

*OnlyuseoriginalV olvopartswhenreplacingtheSRSsystemcomponents(airbag,

safetybelt,etc.).
