thewheels.Failuretodosocanresultin

unexpectedvehiclemovementandcan

causeseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.

Theparkingbrakemechanismusesspringpressureasaseparatepowermediumto

applytheservicebrakesonthedrivingaxles.Theparkingbrakeisreleasedbythe

samecompressedairsourceusedtoapplytheservicebrakes.Sincethisbrakeis

releasedbyairpressure,thesystemmustbechargedtoatleast420kPa(60psi)

beforetheparkingbrakemaybereleased.
