contactwiththevehicleatalltimeswhenenteringorexitingthecaborthearea
behindthecab.
2Becertainyouhavearmhandholdand/orstablefootpositionbeforetransferring
weighttothatposition.Forexample,donotstarttoputweightonafootuntilyou
arecertainyourfootisproperlyonthestepandwillnotslipwhenyoutransfer
yourweight.
3DONOTclimbontopoftheframe,fueltanksorstorageboxestomaketrailer
hook-ups.
4Ifthevehicleisequippedwithairfairings,donotusethesidemountedfairing
(winddeector)bracketsandbracesasstepsorgrabhandles.
5Ifthevehicleisequippedwithairfairings,donotusethesidemountedfairing
(winddeector)bracketsandbracesasstepsorgrabhandles.
6Becertainthatallgrabhandles,stepsandrelatedpartsareingoodworking
condition.Anydefectsshouldbereportedandrepairedbeforeusingthegrab
handlesandsteps.

8DONOTsteponthecurvedsurfaceofthefueltanks.Theymaybeslipperyfrom
snow,mud,ice,water,spilledfuelorotherslipperysubstances.
9Ifastepismountedtothetopofthebatterybox,becertainthatthebatterybox
coverisproperlyfastenedbeforestepping.
10Ifavehicleisequippedwithremovablechassisfairingsorcabpanels,becertain
thefairingorcabpanelisproperlyfastenedbeforeusingsteps.
11DONOTjumpfromthecaborfromthestepstotheground.
12Alwaysfacethecabwhenenteringorexiting.
13DONOTholdanythinginyourhandswhenenteringorexitingthecaborthearea
behindthecab.Logbooks,cups,clipboards,jackets,luggageandthelikecanbe
placedonthecaboororreardeckplatebeforeenteringorexiting.
