disengagedintheeventtheSmartCruise

systemfailstooperate.Youmuststop

thetruck,turntheignitionoffandon,

andactivatethecontroltwiceinorder

forthecruisecontroltooperate.

Acceleration

Momentaryacceleration(suchasforpassinganothervehicle)doesnotinterruptcruise

controloperation.Afterpassing,releaseacceleratorandletthevehicleslowtocruise

controlspeed.Thepreviouslysetspeedwillthenbemaintainedwithouthavingtoset

theswitchtoRESUME.

TheV olvoEngineBrake(I-VEB)isstandardontheV olvo16Fengineandoptionalon

the13Fengine.Ithasahigherbrakingeffectthanthevariablegeometryturbobrake.

WhentheenginebrakeisintheApositionandcruisecontrolisengaged,theengine

brakeautomaticallyengagesifvehiclespeedexceedsthesetcruisecontrolspeed.

TheI-VEBwillengagewithinnitecontrol(withinthelimitsoftheenginebrake)
