air.
3Theairbrakeisdesignedsothatwhenthebrakepedalisfullydepressed,an
emergencyapplicationresults.Thisapplicationshouldbemadeonlyinan
emergencysituation.
4Inmakingastoporaslow-down,allowthetransmissiontoremainingearwiththe
throttleclosed,disengagingtheclutchonlywhenengineidlingspeedisreached.
5Whenparkingthevehicle,placethetransmissioninneutralandsettheparking
brakebeforeshuttingdowntheengine.
6Whendescendingalonggrade,donotusetheservicebrakestoolongortoooften.
Thebrakesmayoverheatandlosetheireffectiveness.
7Beforedescendingasteepgrade,thetransmissionshouldbeshiftedintoalower
